I recently had a relative come in from out of town and wanted to give him a list of fun and trendy places to visit. I recruited the help of two designers in my studio, who are self proclaimed “Prime Time Millennials”, in putting together a list for me. They did such a great job that I figured I’d post it for anyone visiting Miami and wanting to hit the places the locals like to hang out at. So as of this posting (July 2016), here are some of the trendier hot spots in Miami and Miami Beach. You can click on the images to visit the locations website.

The Epic Hotel (Area 31)
– Amazing water views on top of the hotel. Great outside bar with Beat the clock happy hour (5pm, $5 cocktails; 6pm $6 cocktail etc.)

 

Mary Brickell Village

– Series of bars and restaurants all in one complex. Fado Irish bar, Brothers Jimmy’s BBQ, Burger and Beer Joint, Baru (Latin craze bar), Delores but you can call me Lolita, and MORE!

 

American Social

– Restaurant/Bar on the water. Outside and inside, packed all the time, great fun crowd and drinks!

 

Blackbird Ordinary

– Cool eclectic music and crowd. Inside and outside patio. Always a fun time.

– Famous Miami landmark…pedestrian street with restaurants, bars/clubs, and shopping! A little bit of everything and everyone.

– The infamous tourist spot. Don’t eat anywhere here… but a must stroll for the out-of-towner. Hot spot included: Clevelander… And there is always the beach across the street!

– Amazing, amazing foodie spot. The fried chicken is a MUST. The food and drinks never disappoint a true Southern spirit.

– Great atmosphere with the infamous craft drinks (No seriously, other restaurants steal their recipes).

Wynwood Brewery, J. Wakefield Brewery, Concrete Beach Brewery…..if you like beer, these are all local handcrafted beer joints.

– Area where graffiti and art are encouraged by artists. The art is so cool and always changing (great photo spot!) Some good small restaurants and bars are here too.

 

Coyo Taco

– Amazing tacos. Period. Also a secret bar in the back, just walk through the little blue door.
